Has anyone suggested making a cracker yet? I got a pack of cracker snaps from Hawkins Bazaar this week and am going to roll a few using gift wrap, ribbon and toilet rolls.0

For Christmas, I have got my mum and mum in law tickets to see Sound of Music in Machester. In a brown paper bag (99p for 10 in Home Bargains) I am going to put a leaflet /flyer about the show and their show ticket, a train ticket and a small - 250ml bottle of wine (home bargains £1.25 - plastic bottle of Hardys - with plastic wine glass attached) a little pack of pingles (19p home bargains!) along with a small bag of roses chocolates for the interval (very mse when you look at theatre wine and choccie prices!) Also an IOU for a meal out at Bella Italia (I will pay for this with tesco vouchers) I am going to tie it all up with string and write on the bag "tied up with string....these are a few of my favourite things...."
I mean who doesn't love wine, chocolates and a trip out?0 -
for christmas 2007 I brought my four kids a two night three day holiday to eurodisney.
I wrapped their passports, I made a poster which showed Mickey Minnie Daisy and Donald doing the conga. And i put the details on the poster, so it looked like an event poster IYSWIM. I placed th poster in a brochure marking the page for the hotel we was staying at.
Kids were confused opening their passports, and amazed opening their brochures and it dawned on them what it actually meant. My youngest bawled!!!!! He was 90 -

i bought my dad a voucher for his birthday (one of those ones that comes as a till reciept in an envelope - from the local model shop as he has spent the last 6 months building his model railway and wanted stuff for it) i put the voucher in a bottle bag with a nice red wine - he opened the wine and thanked me for the wine then found the envelope and tried to give me the voucher back as he thought it was the wine reciept - it took some explaning!!Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"0

Brilliant idea but I would have had to ask DD to help me do anything like that, and that might have ruined her surprise :rotfl:0 -
I've put mine in gold envelopes and wrapped them together with a "pot of gold" from the crafting thread.0
