Many years ago there was a cartoon in the paper. It showed a couple in a toy shop just before Christmas. They asked the salesman. How much is a drum, £5 says the salesman. But if you would like to pay £10, I can sell you one that I can guarantee will fall to pieces in an hour. May be you have one of the dearer drums.

I was just having a look on Google, typing in drum skins. There are firms out there selling them. If you tell them the size they may well have one to fit. Possibly worth a try.
