XBox Live membership problem

My son has recently got an xbox, he had a free month gold membership which he set up an account on. He decided he didn't like the name and had another free month on a gold membership, this is the one he has been using and the month trial ran out so 12 month gold membership in hand he redeems it but accidentally clicked on the first membership.
Is there anything he can do, all his games and downloads are on the second account which is the one he mean't to redeem.

You can try giving Xbox Live a call on 0800 587 1102, but I'm pretty sure memberships are both non-refundable and non-transferable.0

buy ( of course it cost`s it`s microsoft :mad: ) points and you can change your tag0

You cant transfer a membership but you can buy some points to change the gamertag to one thats available so could he not have a similar gamertag to the 1 he was meant to use the membership on0

He has called a helpline - got through to indian call centre, they understood what he had done and put him through to another department who are apparently going to call him back within next 24 to 48 hours.
