I loved it. His enthusiasm is infectious.
It was quite amusing how the women rule the roost, especially the baby who already knows how to get her own way with men.0 -
How cool was his Nanna?! Reminded me a bit of my own Nanna (now passed

Thought the gammon in particular looked lovely. Liked the idea of the beef carpaccio but not sure about the way he cooked the squash to go with it.Sometimes that mountain you've been climbing is just a grain of sand,

I watched it with my teenage DD and we both enjoyed it, Jamie's little girls were so gorgeous and cute. It put my kids in the mood for pancakes though and that is what they had for breakfast this morning, without the pear and yogurt.
Love how he made the gravy, going to try that, when he sieves it all at the end does all the veg and chicken wings get thrown out?0 -

I wondered that as well? Could you strip the meat off to use in a soup or curry? The veggies could go in a food processor to be whizzed up and added back into the gravy to thicken it up even more?
Waste not want not.

I made the gravy a few days ago, the recipie was in his magazine. It tasted brilliant! It is ready in the freezer for christmas. Must say I didn't use star anise (don't have any) and did use dried bay leaves.
I actually mashed it all up, added flour, put water on, boiled it then got the gravy out. I then returned the bits to the pan, heated till they got a bit stuck then did it all again. This way I got loads more gravy. I must also admit that the chicken bits tasted fabby, and I kept eating whilst sorting out the gravy!Money, money, money, must be funny....in a rich mans world.
