All very achieveable so far, I thought. Wholesome and pretty OS too.

I need to look up the pancake recipe. We used to fry 'breakfast cakes' which were up to an inch thick as part of the cooked breakfasts on the farm but I think this could be the same sort of batter.

I liked it when the kids said mummy was a better cook lol.
The reality is for most families with a chef the other partner (usually mum) will be at home with the kids more than the chef themselves so will probably do most of their food.

Still bet on Christmas lunch and big occasions V.handy to have a chef in the family.

Did anyone else think Jamie looked really scared of his little sis rofl(well in a sibling sort of way not "scream" or "friday the 13th" ways).
Amazing how the patterns of our lives/realationships are set when we are kids.
That gravy base looked a fab idea and not a million miles away from doing a stock really, but thicker and tastier. Wonder if you could use saved up chicken wings and carcasses from sunday lunches for a few weeks (in the freezer). Then do the same. Might not be quite as intense but with the turkey stock should still be good.

The pancake recipe was a mug of self raising flour, a mug of milk, pinch of salt and one egg. Then he grated a pear into it.

If i'm not mistaken thats a variation of the recipe he has in his misitry of food book? (as in the same just adding pear)

    Looks lovely though!
