27 parked adjacent to a dropped footway - help!

I have received a PCN from Leeds City Council for offence 27 parked adjacent to a dropped footway.

I was parked on a street and where the dropped kerb is, there is a small electric sub station. However there is no dropped kerb at the other side of the road, so I am confused as to how I have done anything illegal.

In addition, the PCN records my car as silver when it is in fact blue.

Does anyone think I have a chance if I choose to appeal this? Any help would be much appreciated.

  • Pics of the place where parked and scans of both sides of the ticket (remove personal info, leave dates) would help provide advice. Howto is in the stickies at the top of the forum.

  • Thanks, I have a scanner at work so I will scan it tomorrow and post it up. I did take some pictures when I returned to my car but they have come out really dark because there isn't much street lighting in the area! I'll have to drive down and take some pictures in daylight tomorrow too.

    Many thanks!!

As already advised, do post up your pics!

The colour of your car on the PCN makes no difference AFAIK so forget that bit. Concentrate on whatever advice you can get here and from posting your thread and pics also on pepipoo.com - which is a dedicated motorists' fightback forum.

Here's a link to a similar thread only a few weeks ago, where someone parked adjacent to a dropped footway with no df on the other side. You'll see that I posted links in my post there to yet more threads on here and on pepipoo. Read all those for some idea of what you may have to do to appeal this successfully:
