so the cookers are safe as long as you follow the manufactures instructions.
I very much doubt you will get a refund.0 -

I watched the programme at the time. What they said was that there'd be a potential for carbon monoxide poisoning IF the grill were used with the door closed because not enough air would reach the burners, so the flames wouldn't be burning correctly.
The reason is that the door seal is firm/all the way round. They showed you on the programme that if you open up the grill door and simply snip/remove some of the rubber seal (which is pressed into the metal about 1" from the edges) then it'd allow for air flow. OR, simply don't shut the grill door when grilling stuff.
Tests are only carried out on the ovens with the grill door open - and that's safe. They stressed it is ONLY if you use the GRILL with the grill door closed.0 -

My they are so clever aren't they! Why do THEY have to treat eveybody in the world as if there was no such thing as plain common sense anymore.

I had numerous letters and phone calls about my cooker from the company trying to organise a repair cos of this. They sent an engineer round who stuck two stickers on the two doors saying don't use with the door shut and just snipped out the rubber seal from the bottom of the grill door. That's the fix!!0

in response to why you would grill with the door shut - because thats the instruction on SOME cookers - my electric one specifies you MUST grill with the door shut so its not an innately stupid thing to do!People seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

If you are concerned a Carbon monoxide alarm is a must.
These can be relatively cheap and can be picked up from many DIY stores including Toolstation and B&Q or even a store like Argos...0
