Can I cancel kitchen?

Options
I ordered a paid for a kitchen from Wickes.

I arranged delivery for January.

Can I cancel and get a full refund before delivery?

  • Is it that you don't want it, or has a problem along the way put you off?

There is a (legal?) 7 day cooling off period, after that, there are probably deposits and admin fees laid out in the contract you signed.

So yes, you probably can cancel, but if 7 days have passed, it will be at your own expense.

Do you know what your talking about?

OP how did you order it?
Why do you want to cancel?
what does the paperwork say about cancelling?
  • Thanks for your reply.

I ordered it about 6 weeks ago.

My reason for cancellation is due to changed circumstances, it is nothing to do with the kitchen.

Are you hoping that if they've started to build the kitchen you ordered that they'll just absorb the cost?
  • Wickes measured up and I then went into the store and discussed the layout. I then paid for it in store.
  • It sounds like you went into a legally binding contract therefore they may claim damages from you if you pull out

If they just use standard kitchen parts then I don't see why wouldn't cancel and refund but you have no legal rights to a refund.

You cannot have a refund unless they agree. You didn't even have a 7 day cooling off period as mentioned by one poster.
