GAME.co.uk - very unhappy! Help?

I am absolutely fuming and completely upset over GAME and how they have conducted theirselves to me over an order I made. Just wondering if anyone could shed some light on my situation (..and needed a rant! )
I placed an order on the 3rd November for the Toy Story Mania game for Nintendo Wii for my young brother for xmas. It was priced at £14.99 so I thought 'bargain!' and purchased it no problem - recieved an order confirmation email and all was well.
The following day I recieved an email from GAME.co.uk stating that my order had been cancelled, but they give me a reason why. So I shrugged it off and went straight to the website to reorder, thinking maybe I had done something wrong. To my horror the game had been raised in price to £24.99 after my order had been cancelled. _pale_
I contacted them about this via their 'contact us' form on their website. After waiting a few days I hadn't heard anything, but then to my suprise I recieved a phonecall from a young gentleman at GAME saying that they had recieved my query and would like to offer me the game and honour the price of £14.99. He confirmed my order, took my address details, confirmed payment details and told me it would be sent out via first class delivery free of charge in the next few days..fantastic i thought!
2 weeks passed - nothing!! I was beginning to get dubious about whether they were going to actually honour their offer to me or not, but blamed it on royal mail and the xmas period delaying the mail. I contacted GAME again anyway via their contact us form to verify my order - NO REPLY!!
It's now over a month later from that initial phonecall and i have recieved absolutely sod all from GAME. Needless to say I am furious, upset and beyond dissapointment. I have just contacted them again to let them know I am very upset about this, and have now had to purchase the game elsewhere after being letdown by them as it was an xmas gift.
What can i do? Where do i stand? I'm absolutely fuming/disheartened/stressed.
Sorry for the long post, but I am unimpressed

After talking to the person who took your payment details did you receive any sort of confirmation email to say they had received your order? Have you checked you credit card/bank details to see if they have taken any money for the item?
How have you been contacting them? If you have been using the "contact us" form you are in for a long wait. Have you phoned them about it and actually spoken to someone?
I would chill out a bit as these things happen all the time..... just take it in your stride and try and get to the bottom of it but I woud advise NOT to use the "Contact Us" form..... speak to a humanTo be in your child's memories tomorrow, be in their life today.0 -
I checked my account and there seems to be no sign of the 2nd order at all
Just the cancelled 1st order showing up. I've given up hope on Game - ordered from Amazon for an extra £2. Atleast I know they're reliable!!
It's beyond me why they would call me, confirm my order over the phone, tell me it'd be in the mail and with me within a few days..when they haven't even made an order in the first place for me:heartsmil Proud Weight Watcher :heartsmilStart Weight: 15st 13lb Current Weight: 10st 5lbTotal Loss to Date: 5st 8lb- - -Current 2011 Goal: Lose 8lb by 25th DecemberLoss This Week: -3 Total Loss 2011: -30 -
Don't get me started.... Just getting over the 'Left For Dead 2' debacle with Tescos. If Game haven't taken your money then at least you haven't got to waste loads of time chasing them up for refunds like we have had to with Tescos. Don't know what these firms are up to at the moment? They are a law unto themselves. Don't blame you for having a rant..0

I want GAME to get their flipping act together and it would have been nice for them to have sent me the item a month ago at the price they promised to honour like they said they would, obviously.. :heartsmil Proud Weight Watcher :heartsmilStart Weight: 15st 13lb Current Weight: 10st 5lbTotal Loss to Date: 5st 8lb- - -Current 2011 Goal: Lose 8lb by 25th DecemberLoss This Week: -3 Total Loss 2011: -30 -

I've already decided I'm never buying anything from there again, even if it is the cheapest option, it's not worth the hassle. If they don't want to give customers a product act the advertised price, then why bother taking orders?:heartsmil Proud Weight Watcher :heartsmilStart Weight: 15st 13lb Current Weight: 10st 5lbTotal Loss to Date: 5st 8lb- - -Current 2011 Goal: Lose 8lb by 25th DecemberLoss This Week: -3 Total Loss 2011: -30
