cleaning uPVC double glazing plastic

got some oily finger marks and dirt on the white uPVC frame. tryed washing up liquid and wd40. anyone else got any idea's to clean the plastic ?? thanks

  • I've removed marks and oil with doktor power (lime greeny coloured tub available from loads of places including Asda). Cleans absolutely everything I've tried it on!

    or
    Stardrops window cleaner 99p
    used this on mine as I had an awful
    orange residue from some building work
    going on outside,looked like new again

    I have some proper upvc cleaner and it smells like nail polish remover, so probably is. I would suggest trying a small bit first, if it cleans it then you could always wash it over after.

    I'm not cynical I'm realistic :p

    (If a link I give opens pop ups I won't know I don't use windows)
  • Those magic erasers are great on upvc. I got mine from Aldi's - inexpensive too!
  • CIF (Jif) or a cheap alternative the white one not the lemon. used it for years and not as toxic as the solvent cleaners.
