Aqua card Help please

Afternoon
my wife has an Aqua credit card she got this is Sept 2003 with ppi (it’s that long ago she cannot remember if she agreed to it or not, I suspect not)
Anyway move on to august this year unfortuonalty my wife needed to make a claim
so I call up Aqua and they give me the number of Halifax Insurance Ireland limited who is the provider of the PPI.
I then call the Halifax up and they have no record of any PPI for the card.
SHE HAD PAID IT SINCE 2003 ITS ON HER CARD STATMENTS so they start a new policy from June 2009 (we have the policy doc from them to say it’s started June 19 2009), for which she has now been paid out only for 12 months then she’s suppose to get a job even though she has Lupus erythematosus that most insurance companies class as a critical illness and the docs have said she won’t be returning to work.
So a few phone calls later it gets better after speaking to the PPI provider ( Halifax insurance Ireland )
sept 2003 wife gets aqua card with PPi
nov 2004 card is lost so PPi is cancelled
we got the replacement card nov 2004 the PPi ( Halifax) tell me this card has no PPI
so between Nov 2004 - June 2009 the PPI ( Halifax) tell me there was no insurance on the card ( EVEN THOUGH ITS ON HER CARD STATMENTS)
1) As the policy she is currently claiming off is a different on from when the card was issued can we claim a refund for the policy from Sept 2003 to Nov 2004?
2) How do we go about claiming the money paid for the PPi that never existed ( but we have paid for)from Nov 2004 - June 2009?.
I hope the above makes sense.

Hi there
Sorry to hear of all your messing about here.
Maybe it would be a good idea to request a subject access request (SAR) where they should send everything they hold on the account, although there is a charge of £10 postal order or cheque payment for this, it may be worth your while, in case you have to refer to your paperwork at some point.
SAR template letter on link below, and they have 40 calendar days to comply:

As it seems your wife was paying out for the PPI and also where they state she did not have this then you can still try to reclaim on this and the interest, also the interest of 8% interest of what a court would award.
Check the link below of the guidelines of reclaiming, give it a go and keep at them, if they do not resolve this in your wife's favour by 8 weeks then you can move on to the financial ombudsman service (FOS).
You will find this link useful also with template letters to help you through this, and anything you need to add to the letter as well write in.

Hope this helps, good luck and please keep us posted and ask for help whenever.:D:beer:
