Carpet Shampoo?

I use a fairy washing tablet in our vax upright, seems to do ok - I also rinse over with a bit of fabric softener too, smells better then!! I also overwet it to give the stuff time to act.

My logic is, if I can wash a woollen/nylon garment with this stuff and wear it, ten I see no harm in treating my carpet the same - my jumper isnt left with a sticky residue that attracts dirt is it?

Stardrops for me too! You only need a little bit otherwise you get too many bubbles. We have a cheap recon'd Bissell and it works fine, not as good as a pro but as said about much cheaper and much more convenient.
