Failed delivery attempt but no card left

I have been waiting for a parcel so checked the online tracking system for EMS and it states that a failed delivery attempt had been made at 9.07am yesterday. I thought this was strange as I was in at that time and even if I hadn't heard the doorbell there was no card put through the letterbox.
The parcel was sent from China via EMS and is usually delivered by my Postie, however this box is larger and may have been sent on a larger van (our regular village postie knows where to drop off parcels if I'm out). On the EMS website there are no details of who to contact in the UK. Any suggestions as to where I can chase this up?

I have a package from EMS and turned out to be Parcel force who delivered it, they left a card with some child like scribbles all over it and infer reading it several times i realised that the driver had taken it to my local post office.
Could be worth checking with them.
Thanks0 -

Thanks Steve, I'll have a look for the Parcelforce number and speak with my postie when he arrives, we get a lunchtime delivery here.0 -

Called Parcelforce, what a lovely helpful lady. It would seem that the Village Postie has it and will be here soon, not sure what happened yesterday. Fingers crossed.0
