The averages in my area are up too, but that's because it's an AVERAGE taken over the whole price spectrum.
More sales at the higher end, less sales at the lower end drags the average price up. It's perfectly possible for sales at the higher end to be at lower prices, but still show an increasing average price when there's little or no activity in first-time buyer land......0 -
I predict that prices will go up or maybe down in 2010

As long as the base rate is at 0.5%, prices probably will go up.
I have vested interest in the prices going down to sensible levels because I don't want to pay my landlord's mortgage any more.
Taking my 'down' hat off though, if you look at the economy as a whole, we are in trouble and its not even blown over yet.0
