I know I feel kind of bad (although I did earn it) because I hate having money when other people dont (my sister for example)...havent told her yet and think I will keep it that way!

Thanks Bookie - I was thinking of that, although cant do the holiday I want on £500 (Japan)...might have to settle for a lesser holiday...

SRM~Whats your view on BA strike?
I personally think they(Cabin crew that is) are shooting them selves in the foot & at the end of the day there will be no BA as currently exists by this time next year. Also my understaning that it is only fairly recently recruited peeps who are affected by changes BA want to implement.

  • Unfortunately the lass that interviewed me couldn't tell me when I would know. She had been drafted in from another store for the day and therefore didn't know. (I would have thought most people would have asked that question and I I were her I'd have found out before 4pm.).

She was lovely though - sees me as a team leader reporting to the non-food section head or fronting cutomer services. The down side of that is that I would think there are more cashier jobs so i may have sold myself too well. :rotfl:

I agree they are shooting themselves in the foot. However it's not quite the case that only new crew affected. They have removed 1 crew member from each long haul flt,and now the CSD will help in Club cabin. This has been the case at LGW for a few years and works ok there,so how they can claim it has a health and safety aspect I don't know. There are also changes to rostering, and crew claim they will be out of pocket so company offered a compromise, but the union didn't go for it. Hope I don't get flamed for this..I posted a comment on You Tube and have had a deluge of abusive emails..really obscene stuff too..
