Where to save 2000 a month

Decided we will pay off the mortgage on 30 December 2009 and am wondering where to save approx 2000 a month.
A bit of background
Not a UK resident so dont pay tax in UK or my present country.
Age 50+
Have been paying max into pension for last 30 years
Already own property to rent in UK
Have home in UK
Nothing outstanding ie credit cards, loans
Have UK bank accounts.
Children both in their 20's
Probably be out of UK another 7 years at least.
Going to UK in January so I can give some thought to any ideas posted here and perhaps speak to someone when I am there.
Cheers

Lucky you, how is it you do not pay tax in the UK or your present country of residence,
If you are OK legal wise in the UK you should try HSBC. They have a "fixed rate saver" that does what it says. Have a look on their web site.

The minimum is £2000 and you could do that every month. It is not the BEST rate around but the flexibility can be worth it.
You can then fill out the correct form to either have the interest paid gross or to get the tax back from HMG at the end of each year.
By the way where are you living. There will be no Brexit dividend for Britain.0
