Surely it's "as long as I don't spend any?" not "so long"

I copied and pasted the quote from somewhere, so you may be right, but I wasn't the one being pedantic about spelling.
I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.

Yes I was being pedantic, It's not your fault, it was me,I acted alone, there were no conspirators, you are now and shall remain the one known as the "blameless"
Apples2 has volunteered to be my personal proof reader which is just great,I suspect he or she or it have proved themself a true natural at the addressograph forte time and time again, and further more I can now relax in the knowledge, that my rantings will be disambiguated automatically, THANKS APPLES2.

And of course my personal Psychologist, Dr Paulthetruth, who has not only great analytical skills but is also somewhat of an expert on the works of Cambridge footlights graduates BBC satirical comedy productions. Thanks Paul good to have you on board.

It's abfab to be so FREE MAN

    Now let's
    SAVE THOSE PUNTERS SOME MONEY
  • Rule 1...Always loan to yourself..Step 1..open yourself a spare current account, look around co-op or post office can help here a lot of the time if not a shoe box will do...Step 2...Acquire capital, if your are borrowing the capital calculate the interest, divide it equally over the repayment period then double it! at the end of the repayment period you will find you have money left over, this is the start point. Repeat this process until you are able to loan yourself money from your savings. You are now in a great position to take advantage of yourself, you have managed to manipulate yourself into a place where you can be extortionist and victim at the same time...so give it a go lend yourself 100 quid and repay yourself 135. Look in your shoe box/account "Hey presto" your, in profit...works for me!

    BE GOOD TO YOURSELF
  • Rule 2 Understand the fiscal system....I cannot stress this enough....If you don't already know, research the difference between the "Bank of England" and the high street Banks, research where credit card companies acquire there capital, if it all starts looking a bit mad that's good your getting near clarity. The key to saving or making money lies in your understanding of the "Point" Why have we humans devised such a system, and what's it for? It's a co-operative to make life easier for ourselves. Here in the UK we have clean running water in our homes etc etc ..UNDERSTAND THE SYSTEM...You will encounter doom prophets, Nay Sayers, and types that don,t want you to know or they won't be able to rip you off
anymore on your journey, keep at it until you do.

    MONEY IS YOUR FRIEND!
  • Rule 3....Get someone else to pay your interest, try to find ways to offset loan payments, eg:- spend five pounds a week less at the supermarket, that's 20 quid per month use this to offset a credit card interest payment, effectively Mr tesco is picking up the tab! I recently bought a litre of cola that was flat complained I received 20 quid and voucher for 5 litres of coke total saving 26.45. Check your supermarket receipts, I find at least two errors per month, this is worth 3 quid a time at a certain store which is put on to a prepaid store card, so that's another 6 quid, so this month at the supermarket I have made 52.45 this will go in as an interest payment on the 100 quid I lent myself to shop in the first place....If I don't pay myself this, I simply write myself a letter asking why not and charge myself 25 quid for the privilege, It just keeps stacking up...

    GOOD IN IT!
  • RULE 4....If you always do what you always did you will get what you always got....So if we take this statement in the negative context we can set out on the road to understanding futures, ask yourself are you still subscribing to an out-moded fiscal mindset? Keep your eye on fashions as they are not just applied to your clothing or preferred pop music although these mediums can give you insight into the way people are thinking, (or not!) when you feel as though you have grasped this, apply your findings to the stock Market, sign up to London south east, find a PLC that deals in what you have noticed is in vouge and look at their performance, track their share prices, daily if you think it nessasary, for about a year, you will find this very enlightening.

REDEFINE YOUR UNDERSTANDING OF WHAT MONEY IS
  • I'd just like to wade in with a point here and it may be contrversial (and also way off topic from what this thread has become!).

Payday loans are not all bad, if used correctly. I have used QQ, once. I needed £150 to see me to payday a few months ago. Had I not borrowed this, my final DD of the month wold have seen me go overdrawn. QQ charged £14.99 to borrow the £150, my bank would have charged £28 if had gone overdrawn. I ask you, who is worse, QQ or my bank?

It may sound silly, but the saving of just £13 kept me above my overdraft the next month, so I didn't have to borrow again. Now my finances are in order and reducing (for the most part), all are well within their limits and with some increases to my income that I have come across on this site, I aim to have most, if not all of my debts paid by this time next year.

Anyway, I'm not saying they are great, and they probably do prey on desparate people who can't control themselves, but as a lender of last resort, for someone who is willing to change their spending habits at the same time, they do work and are cheaper than going overdrawn!
    Santander Loan [STRIKE]£3003[/STRIKE] £2100
    AA Credit Card [STRIKE]£3148[/STRIKE] £2676
    Natwest OD [STRIKE]£1500[/STRIKE] £1370
    Cahoot OD [STRIKE]£1000 [/STRIKE]£650
    Capital One Card [STRIKE]£641[/STRIKE] £400
    Total [STRIKE](Jan 12)[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£9546 [/STRIKE] £7196 (Now)
  • Thats a good logical solution, use them to help you..The thing to remember about a some short term loan companies is they're Market is people with poor "credit" ratings, a poor rating can be for a number of reasons but by far the biggest is these people have arrived there by being unable or unwilling to repay previous debt. Ask yourself why would you lend to a person who is likely not to repay, this is not character judgement by the lender it's a matter of record 9 times out of ten!
  • If we use a electricity power station as an analogy, what happens if all the consumers connected switch of their appliances, I am not hinting at the fact they won't be making any sales I suggesting to you that it will blow up! Kaboom! So we have to keep using the stuff or it won't be there at all!

MONEY IS THE SAME DON'T PANIC YOU ARE NOT DOING ANYTHING WRONG BEING IN DEBT!
  • Did anyone here the one about the census enforcer who called at a property to find out why they hadn't returned the form, the persons in the property just looked at him, after getting no response he proceeded to tell them it was criminal offence not to give details, and began to read them their rights. Which began "you have the right to remain silent" to which the whole family burst into fits of laughter, the census enforcer went bright red and shuffled away......It must have been like the scene from the life of Brian back at his HQ....where pilote is about to address the mob but is warned by the centurion "I wouldn't go out there today sir their in a bit of funny mood!
