... I now have an extra £130-150 per month in my bank. I'm not in debt but not rolling in it either, and by tweaking my outgoings here and there such as shopping more sensibly and being more careful with energy and phone usage, I now have this extra money which works out at about £200 per month pay increase. I can't complain.

A request in Techie has produced good advice on saving money on printer cartridges.

Now I'm learning as much as I can about Old Style, although things like making my own bread etc don't quite appeal to me yet.

I'm sure there are other sections that give great tips, but I'm just starting out on this forum so it will take me some time of interesting reading.

Thank you. I wish to add that so far I have only "taken" as I am not as knowledgeable as the rest of you here, but who knows maybe there will come a time when I have the opportunity to pay the forum back with some tips or advice for some user...:o

I do like this, really Kool_Kool I do. Once I posted something along these lines, when I wanted to share with others what good things this site had done for me. I did get the opportunity to offer tips on various threads, but alas I gave all my goodies all too soon and now I'm back to receiving much and giving little..:(

I think I'll start reading a lot of vinegar and bicarbonate and hopefully come up with something NEW about them and hit the OS board with the info.:p

hi kool_kool.... dont worry about only "taking" mse users give info... freely when they can, and dont expect anything back... just a very happy helpfull site.....and its supprising you are contributing now by telling us how much you are saving, so that will inspire use... so you are helping....
and just to clairfy what quasar said...there is plenty of great folk around here....
