Had letter off Swinton - advice please

Swinton have wrote to me saying -
  • you were sold payment protection insurance by swinton
  • the fsa have found failures with our process of selling PPI
  • you may be entitled to a refund
  • please read this letter and respond if necessary
'If you have concerns about the PPI policies or the way they were sold to you, we will provide a refund'

Firstly I didn't know I had been sold this and secondly, can anyone advise what the best thing is for me to do know.

Many thanks for any replies

    Hi there

It maybe worth writing to them and making them aware it is only now that you were made aware of this, and request for a refund by 8 weeks of your letter.

On the letter you received there should be an account number, write that as well.
Post by recorded delivery, this is your proof of posting.

Do you have the policy on hand?
If not ask them to supply this as well, or at least the agreement for this if you do not have this.

Good luck, please let us know how you get on.;)

You dont need to raise a complaint as the review is actually being handled by their complaints team. If you dont understand it, then ask them for more information.

If you are not paying PPI then perhaps ask them why they have written to you.
