My Nationwide PPI claim rejected

I was sold PPI by Nationwide when I got a credit card back in 2004, I recently sent a letter to them trying to reclaim the charges as I believe it was missold, however I received a letter back informing me that I originally signed for the PPI and due to this they have rejected my claim.

Is there any steps I can take to appeal this decision or is my claim backfired in a big way?

Any info would be muchly appreciated!

    Hi there

Yes, there is further steps to take, sounds like its only the beginning.

If this was not the final decision with details of the financial ombudsman service (FOS), then write back and ask them to reconsider as you do not agree with their decision, give them about 14 days to get back to you on this one.

Is it was the final decision, then you can move on to the FOS.;)

By enclosing the copy of the final letter.

Good luck and please keep at them.
