Okay so I have an argos card with about £200 on, Barclays Card with about £400 on and a Capital One cad with about £100 on. Iam determined to get these paid of in the new year as Im back at work so shouldnt be a problem at all. But Im going to get a statement the end of this month and need to know what the minimum payment for each of these cards will be...roughly! Is there a way of finding this out... Lauren X

The minimum payment will be on the statement that you get.

There is a gap of 2 or 3 weeks from when your statement is produced and when the money needs to be paid. Is this not sufficient?

The minimum payment would be between 2.5% and 5% of your balance. You would have to refer to your statement or credit agreement to make sure.
  • Card minimum payments vary according to customer and the type of card issued to them. You will likely pay around 2.5% of your debt on each of these cards, and will likely pay about £20 for the three cards.

Cap 1 on a balance of £100 min payment I imagine should be about £5 - as I believe its 5% of the balance or £5 - which ever is more. My min payment on my pathetic £100 limit :D is £5.

  • i have looked on the sites of all three and argos says that the minimum payment is worked out by 4% of what ever your balance and barclays is 5%. So if that is right then i think i know where i stand!
