Help needed with burning photo's to disc.

Hello, Norm the novice here! I have transfered my photo's from my Digital camera to my PC. I have them in My Documents. I now need to transfer them to a disc to enable me to take to a shop for printing into 6x4.
I have tried to use Nero and Windows Media, both without success. Everytime I try, I get a message directing me to insert a disc into the drive. But there is a disc in there already!
I would be grateful if someone would give me a help with this problem.

An easier solution (if your using windows XP) is the right click on the files or folder you want to burn to cd and then select "send to" and then select CD-R or similar.
you will then get a yellow box appear above your clock in the bottom right of the screen telling you that you have files waiting to be burnt to a cd, once you have sent all files click this box and then on the left panel click on burn cd and follow the on screen prompts (name CD etc.)

Sounds more like a drive problem to me, have you tried with another disc? perhaps its a bad one.

Go to My Computer, is your drive showing, if it is, right click, select Properties, and have a look at the settings for this drive.
