How much to cap off two gas pipes?

Hello, not asked anyone for a quote yet but thought I'd ask here for the likely cost of the following....
I have two 'coal effect' gas fires that I want to be disconnected from the mains.
Each fire is connected via a 15mm copper pipe running below the floorboards emerging into the room via a restrictor{(?)/isolator valve.
Work required... Cut and cap both supply pipes and securing as necessary.
You may assume that on the day carpet and relevant floorboards will be removed to give good access to the pipework.
So..am I specifying my requirement correctly and any idea what this would cost? (Location is Colchester, Essex)
cheers
Mick.

Prob no more than half a days work, if that. I would have thought you should get change from £90Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

If the boards were lifted as you state I would be in and out in 20 mins top!
Make sure the engineer tests the installation for gas leaks before and after the work starts. Its a 5 minute job to break into and cap copper pipe.
I would however suggest that you dont lift floorboards and instead put a cap in the restrictor elbow of the gas fire. This will make it easier in future if someone wanted to re-install a gas appliance there!
I would charge normal call out for this- £45.0 -
30 quid in north west, thats what i got it for anyway for the same sorta thing0
