New Job yes or no?

What can I say it seems like a done deal
thanks so much for the advice guys.
It is a 'company' that has been established for 400 years and it has lots of 'PT' customers. Where I am just now just seems like an uphill struggle to get recognition and praise from the bosses, so no job satisfaction from my peers if you like.
The new place does have an element of hope but that's better than the daily grind.
So it seems easy, the worry if it is that, is my existing employer may offer a £300-£400 a month pay rise to keep me. Then I might just have to sell my soul to the Devil

hope you dont mind me butting in, with me being so new, but all i would say as a serial job hopper myself, is to make absolutely sure that all that is being promised will come to fruition, if that makes sense?
so if they are promising extra development and opportunity, make sure you are confident as to how and when this will happen.
I have just moved job yet again, I am a big sucker when it comes to the grass is greener on the other side of the fence etc. Its a bit too soon to tell how my new job is panning out but it doesnt quite match what I thought it would be at interview, and the lure of someone else wanting me was rather strong especially while I was feeling so under-appreciated in my previous role!
If your current employer does offer you that money then yes you will have some big thinking to do, including why they only felt they could offer you the money when they thought you would leave, rather than all along, and will anything actually change?
But that is a decent payrise so maybe well worth putting up with for another few months to get your debts down a bit.
I am a big fan of the pros and cons list, even if you dont use it to make your final decision, it's still well worth exploring all the options.
Good luck!0 -
Your right the grass is always greener on the other side. Part of my consideration in leaving has been due to under appreciation. However I have a meeting with my boss tomorrow and they are looking at making a huge effort to keep me. It is looking like the grass will be even $$Greener$$ where I am. Either way I can't lose so I will make my decision tomorrow.
It is going to basically hinge on whether tomorrow is concrete, in writing and instant. I am not going to pass up a chance on the basis of promises. Watch this space. If it goes the way I hope it might I can reduce my DFD by 4 years'ish, I can't pass that up, that would be irresponsible.New PV club member. 3.99kW system. Well I have put my sensible head on and gone down the Debt Free quicker route.
I am staying where I am to get debt free faster, I got a pay rise and it decreaseS my DFD by 49 monthsalso means that my student loan and pension will get the relevant decreased/increased balances they need.
