Either of the two above will probably do :)
However keyboards (and mice) tend to be a very personal preference for a lot of people, so it's something I would always try to check in person first if you're going to be using it a lot :)

I always tend to go Logitech, which start at about a tenner as I prefer their feel to most cheaper keyboards (when I first started using computers I had several cheap keyboards I loathed, and a couple I wish I could get modern versions of).

^^^ I have a Logitech cordless keyboard and mouse and am well impressed.
    The keyboard is particularly good.

I like Logitech but it was too expensive so the Smartprice won and it's fine :)

Avoid the really cheap stuff... I've seen quite a few £2 to £4 keyboards where you press some keys down and it doesn't "register" so you have to press harder, and all that nonsense.

I'd recommend something like this for £9 delivered. I have one myself and it's good. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Microsoft-Wired-Keyboard-500-RT2300-Brown-Boxed-OEM_W0QQitemZ330383923244QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Computing_ComputerComponents_KeyboardsMice?hash=item4cec6a982c

Edit: It's not actually USB but you can get PS2 to USB adapters for under a quid! I've got loads of them around. Why do you need a USB keyboard, you know you can get adapters for PS2 keyboards to turn them into USB right? Just checking!

The adaptors dont work on all keyboards. I was advised by Logitech against using an adaptor.

Also worth bearing in mind when computers boot up the usb drivers take a while to load,so getting into bios or starting in safe mode etc maybe be toublesome.Had to lend a friend on old ps2 connected one for this only a few weeks ago.
So it maybe worth keeping your old one just in case.
  • I use a Cherry- £12 from play :)

    I love my Apple keyboard:

    apple_wired_keyboard.jpg

It has very low profile keys which are really comfortable to type on, and it's easy to keep clean (you don't get crumbs and whatnot stuck between the keys).

It's also absolutely gorgeous, which is the important thing.
