oldish games not working!!

hi all,
I’ve got some oldish game's i.e. ,Colin McRae rally 2.0,kart challenge,1f-18 sonic r destruction derby and a few more but none of them work? I have tired going in to properties changed it to 98/me but they still not working

can any one help!!
My pc is xp fx5200 graph card
I sick of my son going on and on aboot these game!

In the compatibility section make sure you turn off visual themes this normally helped with my old games, then failing that just select each option one by one!

eventually its got to work :-)

there are some programs that run in the background to slow your pc down to enable these old games to run. I don't know much about it -can't really remember, except I used to use "moslow" i think. A google search should turn up some sites that have free utility progs to download to run these.
