Hi
Firstly I know this is going to sound kind of petty and a bit cheap, but i ordered some food/wine from an online italian deli on 25th nov and it looks like they wont arrive until after xmas; a bit irritating as the stuff i was buying was going to be xmas pressies! I was wondering what action i can take against the company? Theyre a uk company and they guarantee a 10 day delivery in the t&c's. The total amount was also over £100 so I know i might be able to claim from my credit card company. However im a noob and not "complain-savvy" so any advice would be v welcome.
cheers

Have you ordered from the company before?
Are they trustworthy?
If so simply phone them up and ask them to cancel your order and give you a refund.
If they are not send a recorded delivery letter to them politely asking them to cancel your order and ask for a refund.
If they don't then you can get nasty but be polite first.I'm not cynical I'm realistic
(If a link I give opens pop ups I won't know I don't use windows)0 -
No not ordered from them before, and their phone goes to answerphone after 6 rings, but they did reply promptly to an email saying it would be delivered soon. However that was about a week ago. Also the website does come across as genuine, for what thats worth!
I was thinking of going for compensation first though...cheap of me i know but if they just threw in an extra salami for free id be happy!
I was thinking of sending an email along these lines..........
Dear Sir/Madam
I placed an order with you on the 25th of Nov, it has yet to turn up. I draw your attention to your 10day delivery guarantee in your Terms and Conditions. Could you please give me a set delivery date for the items and also compensate me for the inconvenience this delay has caused. If you cannot give me either of these then Im afraid i will have to cancel my order and request a full refund from you.
yours etc
Im sorry am such a noob at this, thanks for your patience!0 -
remove all mention of compensation, it undermines the real complaint and they wont entertain your complaint. If they give you compo it will be as a gesture from them not because of a demand from you.Back by no demand whatsoever.0
