I am going to apply for home insurance tonight but I am also going to apply for a mortgage this week. Will applying for home insurance affect my credit rating?? Thanks in advance.

They may perform a credit check on you (each insurer) however the type of search insurers are using is the type that is not supposed to impact credit scoring or show up on your credit history when viewed by a bank etcAll posts made are simply my own opinions and are neither professional advice nor the opinions of my employers
