    I've been Money Tipped!
When does worrying ever sort anything out? Worrying about money does nothing to get the bank account up.

When we were struggling financially, we didn't waste energy mulling it all over, just got on with getting out of the hole, and enjoying the free things of life like each other, our son and sharing his simple pleasure at living life. Those hard financial 2 years certainly weren't my worst years ever.

Worry only adds wrinkles, stress and tiredness. Last thing you need.

I'm sure most of us wish we could be more like you. All I have done since jan is worry about money. Each month struggling to meet payments and hoping that we were going to be able to pay the mortgage.

it's certainly been our worst year ever. I wish I could not worry but it gets harder not to when creditors & debt collectors keep hassling. I can only hope next year is more positive or I will truly end up having a breakdown. we've done our very best. most creditors were sympathetic to start with then after a while they seemed to lose patience and don't want to know.
Good Luck to all for 2010 !!!
  • It has been a tough year but then every year is tough when there's always something to buy.

Onwards and upwards to everyone for 2010, and try to think positive and let's have a good un!

Not the worst year ever - I have my health and my family - but a hard year financially

If all of human emotion were so simple, many thousands of psychologists would be out of a job. It is natural to worry - however when it becomes a hindrance to life it needs to be looked at, naturally.
    On the up :D

Worry is fuel for the fire of Fear. I have been worrying about my fears of what I will lose. It came close to everything including my OH. I stopped and thought wait a minute why worry, to me I didn't think it could get any worse so I confronted it all.
The begining of 2009 was easily my worst, however now that I don't let anyone take me for granted or walk over me I can say it's my best year too in some respects. I now have respect for myself and my OH by my side. Nothing is easy but I will get there.
Good luck to everyone in 2010, with all of MSE here to support us nothing will stop it being a blinder :)

I agree with Shoe Gal.... its been a hard year financially for us too.... looking forward to next year though, its the beginning of the end, and over the next 18 months we will become totally debt free... something I am really looking forward to. Hubby took a wage freeze and overtime cut this year and that is why it has been hard for us, but the company is still going strong and he still has his job, so despite pulling the belt in a little, its all good!!!

18% of those polled said the previous 12 months had been bad for them.
    ...
Just 18% said they thought it had been a good year.
So is 18% a lot or not many?
  • 2009 has been the worst year of my life so far in almost every area :-( and how I actually have managed to get to December without a complete breakdown is a miracle.

I don't usually bother much with New Year's Eve but the arrival of 2010 will be toasted at midnight 31/11/09 !!!
mmmm, still seeking something witty to be my auto-signature . . . so this will have to suffice for now ;)
