i think i bought my camera less than a year ago (need to have a look for the reciept)
its a spare camera so only use it for nights out etc as i have a proper dslr the rest of the time.
took it out with me this weekend and it wouldnt focus ....on anything ... tried again in daylight still not focusing..everything blurry.
if i can find the reciept should i be able to take it back and will it be covered. it cost about £60 from what i can remember and ive only took it out about 4 times since ive had it... it use to work, wasnt the greatest camera but was ok

to add....
just found my reciept i bought it on 19/02/09 and it cost £68.49
i also am not sure if i have to box still . i think its somewhere in the loft,
do i need the box to return it ?0 -
You won't need to bring the box back. Just go into store and ask them to sort it. Don't be aggressive and demand a refund/ replacement as your not entitled to one but do ask. You entitlement is to a repair/replacement/refund which one is there choice.
If your nice to staff there usually nice back in return.
If they try to fob you off to manufacture tell that under SOGA that your contract if with them and if they wish for it to sent off repair then that's up to them sort out.0 -
ill be nice im a nice person
so they cant fob me off with saying its up to be to contact samsung, i would be happy with a replacement, but even happier with a refund as i hardly use it
also can i take it back to a different branch or does it have to be the same one , its from argos btw0 -
Any Argos should take it.0

But don't expect them to repair/replace etc if you have dropped it and/or it is full of sand from the beach which are the most common faults in cameras these days, since the lens is now the only moving part.
Good luck.0 -
nope ts never been dropped and not even seen a beach lol
ill try next week to take it back
thanks0 -
Samsung cameras are repaired by the authorised Samsung repair agent, your Argos store will send it off for repair for you. Not likely to get a replacement and very unlikely to get a refund.
Doesn't have to be the same branch you bought it at but you will need to be able to get back to the store you left the camera for repair at to collect it when it is returned from repair.[DISCLAIMER: Any posts made by myself are my opinions and do not represent my employer]

Sorry ignore my comment about not buying it there, I didn't read the part that said you had found your receipt. Read my latest post above[DISCLAIMER: Any posts made by myself are my opinions and do not represent my employer]

Manky - I couldn't resist.... at there [sic] desecration. Since when was Argos sacred?
According to Wikipedia: desecration is the act of depriving something of its sacred character—or the disrespectful or contemptuous treatment of that which is held to be sacred by a group or individual.0
