Thermal linings and convection loop
About 18 months ago we decided to line our curtains with blackout thermal lining to slow down heat loss from our double glazed windows.
The floor to ceiling curtains seem really effective but the ones hanging to the upside of the rads may just be creating a convection loop, the air cooled by the windows falling and being replaced by warm room air and so on.
I'm racking my brains to think of a method to stop this and have one or two ideas but has anyone out there solved this simply?

My idea would be to Velcro along the bottom of the window sill. And some attached to the fabric so you enclose the the air mass behind the curtain, Not the most elegant but should be effective.0

I use an old curtain pole to hold the curtains on the window sill. That gum you like is coming back in style.0
