                    Hi
We are getting different builders in to do different jobs.
We are getting downlights in the kitchen, and dining room, about 10 in total, what should this cost?
The builder said I can specify?! so what should I say.
Thanks so much

            Hi there
Cost will surely depend on what exactly you are getting done and what the existing condition is, eg brand new extension with no power, or replacing one fitting for another in same position...
You can specify exact location of your new downlights and switches, and which switch will work which lights.
Assume you don't mean that builder says you can specify the cost!0

The builder who is doing our extension has said we can have additional downlighters at £50 each which includes wiring, supply and fitting but its obviously less work for them to do it as its all new. Hope thats of some use.0

Its a hole (or about 10 in fact) in a ceiling that I drilled into our new ceiling, that I installed some lighting cable (5A twin and earth lighting cable costing a few pounds £10) prior to fitting new ceiling. One new double light dimmer fitted, B&Q about £20 ??
 The down lighters were a pack of 5 for about £15. So £30 + £20 + £10. About £60, but I did it myself.0
