Hmm - i am not a "committed" christian.....i have never been to church on a Sunday...but i went to a CofE primary AND secondary school, my Mum is religious and so are my Grandparents, so i grew up with a sound Christian knowledge base... I am not NOT religious and i cannot see myself ever wanting to get married in a registry office. Many people get married in the church who are not regular church attendees but just feel that it is the RIGHT place to marry.
Also, to be honest, divorcees getting married in CofE churches these days is no "big thing"......The Church is relaxing its views on most things these days....a cynic might imply that they are relaxing their views as their congregational numbers tail off......plus the wedding business is Big Bucks these days ;o)Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?0 -
That's true, but then I'm Old, and a bit set in my ways. I just can't see the point of going all bells and smells if you don't really believe. Nothing aginst it personally, if it's what suits you and your family.
Cheers, Hg0
