I recently took out a cc to pay for a holiday on a 3 month interset free.
I called last month as I had not received a statement to ask when I needed to pay off the balance to avoid paying the interest and I was told the balance and to pay it by 1st Jan 2010.
I have today received a statement with £27+ interest.
I called them up and all I kept being told was that it's a self managing account and I accepted the t&cs. I told him that I was self managing the account and that's why I called last month but was given the wrong information.
Anbody any ideas where I stand on this please

Be careful if you choose to pay by direct debit on this card too.
For the second time in three months they have failed to collect my direct debit, admitting it was a fault on their behalf. But with no advance warning, on both occasions, they have put a stop on the card without the courtesy of telling me. Causing me some embarrasment. Ever had your credit card stopped, no fault of your own, two weekends before Christmas?

As the calls are supposed to be recorded, ask for them to listen to the call for you as to what the advisor told you on grounds that it was a mistake caused by wrong info given and wrong advice=i would say you may get it back.0
