As the title says really, we are currently with HSBC, want to switch to First Direct to get the £100 and also to start fresh with no OD.
Will they do the switching from an HSBC account do you know?
TIA!!

I think you can switch from an HSBC account - but first direct are a bit strict about which customers they take. A bit confused about you saying you want to start fresh with no OD and see you are a DFW nerd club member too.
It might be that getting the FD account might be tricky. Also check the FD offer terms and conditions and check you can still get the £100 if you are transferring from an HSBC account?
Good luck
R.Smile, it makes people wonder what you have been up to.

Yes, we want a fresh start as in no overdraft and can arrange to pay the overdraft on HSBC account with a standing order of £100 per month.
Thats the theory....we have an alliance and lecester bank account as well so we are considering putting that on the application form and tranfering all dd's ourselves.....0 -
If we are accepted for an account that is!!0

check out their banking licence - depending on their classification, if you fall in to arrears with payments on the overdraft they could be able to set off - that is take money from your FD account to pay HSBC overdraft if they want to, with no prior notice.Debts at LBM (May '08) £5760 - Lloyds CC £4260, Lloyds OD £1500;Debts as of May 28th 2011:Santander CC: £0.00Lloyds OD : £0.00DFW Nerd #1247 - Proudly dealt with my Debts
