oooohh might have a go at peppermint creams tooBoiler pot £30.92/£10000

I made some of these but instead of adding peppermint essence and food colour, added grated zest of a lemon. They came out a lovely pale yellow colour and wonderful flavour- oh and a touch of edible glitter added to the Christmassy ness. I was wondering though has anyone tried making them with rose water and or violet flavour - for a bit of variety!!!0

Oh other faves of mine are raisins in chocolate - my nan used to make slabs of it... she used a bitter chocolate (not 75% but more like I guess 45-55% cocoa) which works very well with the sweetness of the raisins

And my UTTER fave is White chocolate with coconut - melt white chocolate and add desicated coconut and put in teaspoon sized balls on a baking sheet and stick in fridge - enjoy once they have set
I love these!

I make jars of lemon curd for people. I reuse jam jars so it's fairly cheap. I just use Delia's receipe.0

Could try making millionaire's shortbread or tiffin and put in a nice jar.
Sorry, I don't have a recipe to hand, but the shortbread is pretty easy.
i am making tiffin for my dads birthday (sat) as i have brought a voucher for somthing he really wants and i want a pressent he can unwrap rather than put in a card!! as for shorbread my mums birthday is on monday and she will recieve flowers from me and my brother and a voucher for a massage - but she will get a box of home made shortbread in her stocking - i did it last year after seeing horrendusly priced christmas tree shaped shortbread at a caft fair and made my own - my mum told me off for spending so much and i had to admit i had made it myself and packaged it the same way!!Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"0 -
