    thanks everyone for all your posts, i'm really very undecided now, don't want to get him something that doesn't always work properly but at the same time wouldn't pay £30 for it anyway!...

    We (me and my grandson) love the Tomy aquadraw!! works well and no mess to clean up, I would certainly recommend it to anyone.

    Have brought dgd 1 the cinderella one for christmas (£15.99 Tesco) they still have the ITNG one for £15.99 on Tesco direct for anyone thats interested).
