How did they ruin your wheels?

I had my wheels powdercoated last year. They are a little brighter than the factory colour. I needed to get a puncture fixed and I was really really worried about somebody scratching my wheel. on top of that i had the car for about 6 months and found dat after i had the mot done i had to change another tyre as they somehow got a massive screw stuck in the wheel which i never noticed till it was parked at my house for a few hours
mot cost me £40 at the time punchture repair was about £20 ish and alloy wheel ruined and new tyre cost £50 from costco soo i dont trust any garages
