Debt passed on to another agency

Hi, following on from this thread about Moorcroft: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=2096887
I had asked for a full and final settlement and they passed on my debt.
I have now received a letter today from EOS Solutions asking for £150 payment, but I only owe £140! I know its only £10 but thats a lot when you dont have much!
It also says their client is Phoenix Recoveries but I have no idea what this is? My debt is with a catalogue company so Im a bit .
Can anyone point me to a "prove it" letter please?

  • I would repeat the same steps as the last thread, hopefully you have the letters on the computer saved, edit a few bits and away you go.

I wonder if you can drag this out for 6 years. :)

Hi thanks, The link posted on that thread doesnt seem to be the one I need as I didnt send a CCA request? Would the account still be in dispute because I offered f&f? Sorry, not very good with these things.

There would appear to be about a million of these " Recovery, Solutions etc " type companies out there. Must be easy money. Why are so many licences granted to these scumballs? Bet most of them are run by ex-cons and the likes. I for one could not sleep at night if I was making my crust preying on the vulnerable and unfortunate.

Some points you can write in are, as the amount is wrong and they never informed you of a change.

Should I send a CCA? Or should I write a letter saying I asked moorcroft for a settlement and theyve now passed it on and the amount is not right.. then send a CCA? Im confused and want to get something sorted before christmas.

If EOS Solution are a Debt Collection Agency, then send them a CCA request.

If they are a 'get you out of debt' bunch of monkeys then tell them to *** off and leave you alone.

They should state who they are on their letter head.

    Hope tht wasnt too blunt.

EOS Solutions are a Debt Recovery Agency. CCA request.

...and they cant make any charges unless it goes to Court successfully.

I sent a full and final settlement letter to EOS offering £50 on the £140 balance. They have declined saying they will accept £127!:mad::mad:

Unfortunately, you have now admitted the debt. However, offer them £51 and say that is all you can possibly raise as a settlement. make an offer of a very low monthly payment as an alternative.

if you can produce a Financial Statement ( List of Income and Expenditure ) to back that up, then all the better.
