Ahh thanks! I suppose I could get them a little longer then get my sister to style them.
I'm thinking of getting these: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/18-Clip-In-Remy-Human-Hair-Extensions-Dark-Brown-4_W0QQitemZ220452946132QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Health_Beauty_Hair_Care_Hair_Extentions_CV?hash=item33540500d4
or these: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/15-CLIP-IN-HUMAN-HAIR-EXTENSIONS-DARK-BROWN-4_W0QQitemZ200354298952QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Health_Beauty_Hair_Care_Hair_Extentions_CV?hash=item2ea60bfc48
Do they look ok? They both say they're ethically sourced and have good feedback. Which would you prefer?

Good luck. If you are feeling brave you could post your pics!!0

This is my hair with my extensions in, and they don't look/seem as good quality as the ones you have bought, mine have 3 clips on it that erm clip into your head.
The pic is is in B & W but you can't really notice a difference in colour in real life anyways -
My hair is as long as the extensions though, so they mix in well. I just like the added volume it adds to my thin hair!0 -
Buttonmoons, your pic (and avatar) is great but for me slightly scarey, we really really look alike:eek: except I'm a bit older, I wont put pics up of me for work related reasons and I guard my privacy but my extensions (as mentioned on here a few posts up) are very very similar to yours if slightly fuller in case anyone is interested they are in the link in flippins post and are the 23" wavy in Ginger brown which is a lots less ginger than it sounds, wow that was very strange seeing that pic, I had to look twice:o but well done you:TGorgeous baby too;)Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0

I always knew I had a twin out there somewhere
See I don't have wavy extensions, they were just straight but obviously I can style them or in that picture, that's bed hair :rotfl: are wavy ones good? I quite like my hair being wavy but as it's thin without extensions it doesn't hold the wave? (and if I don't straighten it, it's a fluffy frizz mess!) If I bought wavy, would I have to curl my real hair or does it look alright with a mixture?
I bet I'm not as glam as you glowgirl
I just went and checked my extensions and they seem very dried out and brittle, they are over a year old though now. I really like the look of the ones you bought Zara, they look all shiny and glossy, mine don't anymore! If I was to buy on the internet, what sort of length would I need? Im not sure what mine are actually but I clip them in right at the base of my head, and could always be trimmed down.0 -
Oh and how many do you clip into your hair Glowgirl? I have 4 sets with 3 clips on each and only ever stick in 2, as I'm paranoid the clips show through at the back of my head! Mines are a bit peely wally now I must admit from all the straightening, vigorous brushing and the cats having a chew or 5....0

Ok, the ones I buy are synthetic, this is a personal choice, I would never wear real hair after watching the documentary with Jamellia on where the hair for extensions comes from, not happy viewing:( Synthetic ones can not be styled or coloured, heat wrecks them, you even have to wash them in tepid water, I have had straight and wavy, both are great. The ones I buy are all in one piece, they are thick and shiney, you wouldnt need anymore, you section the top part of your hair, stretch three clips across the top, two at the side and two at the bottom (I don't bother with these as I wear the set quite low) and then let the top section down to cover the clips, I hope I have explained that properly, there is a video showing you how to do this on the site I use. You've had yours for a year? That is excellent, I wear mine everyday and can just about get 3 months if I've been good with them, ok not very mse but the feel good factor is second to none and I never go to the hairdressers so I don't worry too much about the cost.
I have naturally wavy/curly hair that is about three inches below my shoulders, however it is not a nice wave/curl so I blow dry it straight and have the extensions as the curly bottom, this works really well and I get compliments all the time about my hair, as I said in the other extension thread, a first for me;) As far as I'm concerned the longer the better, if Jessica Simpson made them longer I'd be wearing them:DThank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0 -
I will post some piccys up once I have them, they should hopefully be here by tomorrow or Thursday. I hope they work!Buttonmoons wrote: »Mines are a bit peely wally now I must admit from all the straightening, vigorous brushing and the cats having a chew or 5....

That's the way I feel. I save a lot on other aspects of my life and after the hellish year I've had I deserve a bit of tlc!
I just hope they look as good as I hope they'll be!
Thanks so much for all your help and advise:D:D

They arrived! I ended up changing them and getting the 10" ones as the others did look too fake for my hair.
Will post some pics up laterForeign politicians often zing stereotypical tunes, mayday, mayday, Venezuela, neck
