AOL webpages not opening, problem?

Hi,

Over the past few days I've had a problem with some, but not all webpages, not opening with a "server not found error". After spending some time searching for a solution, It appears as though this is an AOL issue. Several others on these forums have the same problem, also AOL customers.

I've a post going here about this

If you are having problems, and or if you have a solution could you post and let us know, Thanks

Ditch AOL and get a better ISP?

I had internet problems this weekend after upgrading thursday (lag spikes/drop outs of up to 8 seconds every 5 mins) -called my ISP on a saturday and got put straight thru to a network engineer who dialled into my exchange & did some tweaking on the spot.

Internet is now marginally slower, has since been stable & behaving itself and as a bonus my upload speed doubled :)

-don't ever see AOL doing that for anyone :p
  • Hi,
Yes I plan to ditch AOL, as soon as I can!

I've been an AOL customer for years & years but this is the final straw!

It's a problem with AOL that they're working on. You're currently unable to get access to certain sites including Halifax, William Hill and Betfred (so the guy told me.) It happened around the same time I tried to get my PS3 to connect to my wireless network, so I thought I'd done something to my router. They can't say when it'll be resolved.
