Help! Stop the cats pooing in my shingles!!

I have a new build home with a small area of shingle outside my front door. I had a feeling of dread when I picked up my keys as I thought this area looked like a cat littler. Sure enough, I'm getting cat poo there a few times a week. I've tried pine disinfectant and paid alot for a specific repellent trigger spray from "Pets at Home" which hasn't deterred them.
Does anyone know any cheap, simple, but effective ways to stop the estates cats using my front shingles as a litter tray?
Thanks

I have the same problems as yourself. You can get Coleus Canina plant from your garden center. I have been trying to get the plant from our garden centers but every we go it is always out of stock!!! The plant supposely to deter cats in the garden (read the article in daily mail).0

I heard that citrus repels cats so maybe some citrus disinfectant or sprinkle some lemon zest on the shingles.0

A torch, a restless night and a bucket of water. Works wonders and guarenteed harmless to cat. Unless it has a heart condition.Tim0

OOohhh cats heaven, one big litter tray.
Once they start then thats it. Your best bet would be to remove the shingle.
you could try covering it with something less like kitty litter.MSE:-)MoneySpendingExpert (-:0 -
One of those auto devices for sensing cats and spraying them with water or a water pistol. Both have worked well for us - the cats remember!!I'm mad!!!! :rotfl::jand celebrating everyday every year!!!0

Best solution I have found is to let an old tea bag dry out, spray it well with Deep Heat / Ralgex and bury it just under the surface.
It lasts quite a while to.0
