Being in the motor trade is more likely to work against you especially on a car like that, expect to pay thousands
  • Back when I had mine NFU Mutual was way the cheapest for me. Mind you I was 30 when I first got it.

I remember someone commenting at the time that they worked out cheaper as the Legacy was the farmers choice for many a year.

May not be the case now, but doesn't cost anything to check.

  • Speak to Gary Moulson at Keith Michaels Plc, he's VERY good at quotes for Subarus :) (His number can be found by googling "Gary Moulson, Keith Michaels) - he's also on the insurance section of Scoobynet.

Saved me a packet when I got my imported & 300bhp Subaru a few years back :)

Diamond were cheapest for my subaru, but again i was a lot older than u when driving it. They were also cheapest for the skyline. TBH I think you would be better getting your own insurance for a couple of years b4 getting the scooby.

If you want to Insure a STi for a 21 year old you cannot afford to take time off work!

:T:Tthanks for your constructive posts they are a great help!!:T:T
  • Expect to pay around £2,500 annual. Also expect many insurers to simply not offer you a quote. You may have gotten away with a WRX but an STi is just too powerful for a 21 y/o in most insurers eyes. Minimum age at most mainstreams is 25 or 30 years old before they will even consider a quote for this car.

Diamond were also cheaper for me but i was 26, female, with 8 years driving experience always had own policy for full no claims etc.

    Tbh your kidding yourself.

Can't see insurance being much under 2k for that car.
