Sales shopping... the dilemma

Hi all... don't know if this has been discussed before (or if this is the right forum)

I am looking to buy a tumble dryer... its not urgent so I'm waiting for the January sales. I have about £175 to spend, which would buy me an acceptable one at current prices.

Let's assume that, in January:
Tumble dryer 1 was £350, but is reduced to £175 in the sale.
Tumble dryer 2 was £175, but is reduced to £90 in the sale.

Which would you buy... the best one for the money you have or the cheapest that is acceptable to you?

Me personally, if it was acceptable in the first place, it would be even more acceptable if it was £90.
