Train Journeys - are they fully guaranteed?
Hello,
Tonight I am going to be making the following journey:
On collecting a ticket from a FastTicket machine, it shows that the only train with a "reservation" is the Euston-Manchester train.
My question is as follows: If there is a problem on the Shortlands - London Victoria portion of the journey (cancellation/delay) etc, is my journey from Euston guaranteed, seeing as the Euston - Manchester train is the last one of the day? I have had the opposite situation where I have missed my last un-reserved train (due to a delay on the reserved train) and they have put me in a cab. However it seems a little far-fetched for Virgin to put me in a cab to Manchester for something that is not their fault.
Thanks
