  • Hiya NTBY! Happy New Diary to you!!! :j

Your carol concert sounded lovely, and for free! Too bad on the diary expense. I just managed to haggle a new one from work for nothing, and a calender too.

I'll be following your progress with interest. Best of luck. :D

  • Thanks for reading, lucky! Its amazing the amount of free music there is in London if you look about, especially if you like classical.

Have you thought of doing the £10k in 2010 challenge? Its a steep goal and not all of us are really expecting to reach it, but it would knock out your debt quite nicely!

Taking my frugal life on the road!
  • Today was another day at home - could have been an NSD but I spent £20 on a set of tickets for a play I really want to see in January. It was a Saturday matin!e so cheaper than other times, but still more than I usually spend on theater tickets. Meant to be really good though, so hopefully it'll be worth it.

On the bright side, got fed by friends for dinner and got some nibbles as Christmas presents from a friend. Her presents were a hat I crocheted and a set of really lovely candlesticks I got on a work trip to Malawi, so it was cheap as you'd like. I've also been poking around the interwebs for good recipes for meal planning, which I want to start in the new year.

    Ciao all!

  • Well today was another NSD, but again because Im just feeling too awful to leave the house! I guess my body hasnt gotten the memo that its supposed to feel better over time, not worse. At this rate I wont be back to work on monday, which I feel a bit bad about as donor deadlines dont care how much of the staff is sick!

I'm reading too, just very slowly!! You're doing great so far! *subscribes*
  • **cough cough cough**

Arg this is getting ridiculous. I'm coughing more or less constantly for days now, after being sick for weeks! I'll be at my wits end if it doesn't clear up soon.

Trying to sign up for Dooyoo, but haven't gotten the confirmation email. Has anyone else had a problem with this?

  • OK, still sick, but going to make myself useful today. To do -

    1. Write and send handwritten letters to my aunt and another to a friend moving to Alaska
    2. Finish crocheting another Christmas present - a frilly scarf!
    3. try out a new recipie for dinner tonight - (veggie) mince pasta bake.

    Here we go...
