How long does it take to complete the sale of a new build flat?

I have been accepted for purchasing a new build shared ownership flat. Got the mortgage agreed on Dec 1st, valuation happened on 3rd Dec and the paperwork was received by the solicitors on Dec 8th. Sent back any forms back within 24 hours of receiving them.
Obviously Xmas and NY will add a 5-8 working days to the process as the offices will be shut.
Any ideas people of when the sale will be completed? I have 2 weeks off in Jan so ideally want to move in then. After that, it will be a PITA as living with my parents and they have different days off to what I have.

If all the paperwork is in place I would have thought you could get it completed in 28 working days. make sure your solicitor is aware that you want to move in by a set date though.0

Ours took about a month but that was partly because the HA wanted it done fast so they could complete before year-end - haggled £400 and a bottle of champagne out of that! It sounds like you've got a lot of your ducks lined up so if your solicitor is good, and if theirs answers quickly you should be ok.0
