Oooh, just thought of another thing. I use the A5 size envelopes, that come free in junk mail, etc, for shopping lists. I then put coupons in the envelope, so I don't forget them when I get to the shops.
When I get home, I transfer the unused coupons into a fresh envelope, and start a new list.

Not because I'm too mean to buy him new paper but simply because he is map mad [another Asperger obsession] and would love it. Didn't get my act together though.:sad: Aril
I hve used old maps as gift wrap, map wrap is actually very trendy & you can buy map gift wrap in expensive stationary shops for about £2 a sheet:eek:, or you can use our of date maps from home & charity shops for a fraction of the price:DPost Natal Depression is the worst part of giving birth:p

And I thought I was the only one. I particularly save envelopes. A lot of banks/credit card companies/charities send envelopes and it seems a waste to throw them out. I like the idea of using envelopes to write the shopping list on and put the vouchers inside. Inspired!Books - the original virtual reality.

I use anything I can lay my hands on for wrapping.....
I've used maps too, like Lillibet.....I always get the kids to design the paper for their friends pressies. I save interesting carrier bags too, some you can turn inside out, some you can cut into strips to use as padding in a box to make something look prettier. I've used off cuts of wallpaper, bits of fabric, old pillow cases...anything that works really.
For all my ebay parcels, I save any clear plastic bags that come in to the house, everything gets packed into one of those after photographing and listing and then I generally use old jiffy bags/envelopes or black dustbin sacks to wrap things in. I've had loads of comments on how well wrapped my parcels are."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
I always try to re-use gift wrap wherever possible. All my family know what I am like but I embarrassed my brother at his daughter's christening. There were some lovely gifts and I went around scavenging all the paper!
I don't think he was too impressed. (Either that or he had his own eye on it
)
I plan to try out the brown paper and potato printing thing this year. I think its a lovely look but time has always prevented me from doing this.
Maps sound interesting too. Some great ideas here. Thanks!Sealed Pot Challenge #8 £341.90

my mum has always saved paper, bows etc and recyled christmas cards as tags for next year. She also saves old bread bags for sandwiches and ice cream tubs for storage. Hmm, maybe thats' where I got my squirrel-like tendencies for neve r throwing anything out. :rotfl: :eek:
Think my Mum was recycling before it was even invented! :T
I save the tissue paper you get round clothes from, ahem, 'expensive' shops (cheap clothes are a false economy. Well, that's my theory anyway! :rotfl: )
and wrap presents in it. also bouquets, the few I've received (sniff, sniff)
