Although marked up at 39p for the sprouts my local yesterday had signs up saying 29p a pack, possibly to clear them as there were loads and they were not bad looking compared to some supermarket pre packs that look rather sorry for themselves.:j Was married 2nd october 2009 to the most wonderful man possible:j

I went to my local Aldi today, the sprouts were 29p but didn't have a use-by date so I didn't purchase as no point if they're off by Christmas.

They keep a couple of weeks at least providing they look ok to start with, have often eaten them after outer leaves have gone yellow - all you have to do is cut a generous slice off the bottom and peel the outer leaves. I only "cut a cross" on the base if the sprout is huge, otherwise they overcook and go soggy.I went to my local Aldi today, the sprouts were 29p but didn't have a use-by date so I didn't purchase as no point if they're off by Christmas.
We bought some sprouts in Aldi last monday and had some for lunch today - they were fine; have 3 more packs stashed for Christmas.
