Zavvi Gift Cards

Hi i bought £120 worth of zavvi gift cards last christmas and because zavvi went into administration I get nothing for them , I would understand if zavvi have stopped selling goods but they still have shops and an internet site which is selling gift vouchers again , why is this and how can it be legal?

the old Zavvi went into administration , the name was bought by a new company. Same has happened with Woolwoths.

there is no relationship between the old zavvi and the new one
